Seoul Forest: The City's Answer to Central Park

A large, deliberately varied park bordering Seongsu-dong, Seoul Forest is often compared to a smaller-scale Central Park — and it's an easy, free break from a dense sightseeing day.

What's actually there

Seoul Forest (Seoullyup Park) is divided into several distinct zones — a cultural and arts space near the entrance, an open "forest" area with a small deer enclosure you can walk close to, wetland and ecological zones, and a stretch of riverside park connecting toward the Han River itself. The variety across zones is what sets it apart from a simple flat lawn park.

What to actually do here

Should you visit

A genuinely easy, free addition to a Seongsu-dong day, and a good option if you want a green break without leaving the city. Not a dedicated destination on its own for a short trip, but a natural add-on to plans you likely already have in the area.
