The first autumn 2026 Han River Drone Light Show is scheduled for tonight at Ttukseom Hangang Park. The full programme runs 19:00–21:15, with the drone segment from 20:30–20:45. Entry is free. Additional autumn shows are scheduled for 9 October and 31 October.
If you are in Seoul this evening, this is one of the easiest free night events to add to a Han River plan. Seoul Metropolitan Government's autumn drone series opens on 12 September at Ttukseom Hangang Park, combining live performances with a 15-minute drone light show over the river.
The first night has a “K-Baseball, Seoul Night” theme built around Seoul's three professional baseball clubs — LG Twins, Doosan Bears and Kiwoom Heroes — with club symbols, hitting, pitching and fielding sequences recreated in the sky.
1. The autumn 2026 dates
Seoul has confirmed three autumn performances at Ttukseom Hangang Park: 12 September, 9 October and 31 October 2026. The city says each date will use a different theme, so the later shows are not simply repeats of tonight's programme.
The 31 October finale is already the standout on paper: Seoul says it will be produced with Walt Disney Company Korea as a Marvel-themed special using 2,000 drones, the largest drone fleet yet used for this series.
2. Tonight's programme: 12 September
The first autumn event runs from 19:00 to 21:15. The official programme lists live cultural performances from 19:00, an LG Twins cheering-squad special stage from 20:00–20:30, the drone light show from 20:30–20:45, then a final performance from 20:45–21:15.
That makes the drone section the visual centrepiece rather than the entire event. If you only arrive at 20:28, you may still see the drones, but you will miss most of the atmosphere the city has built around the evening.
3. Entry is free
There is no admission fee and no ticket booking is required for general viewing. The event is designed for on-site attendance at Ttukseom Hangang Park, and the city notes that the drone display can be viewed freely from around the park area.
The first night also includes K-food tasting activities and an audience quiz linked to the final drone sequence. Those extras are useful bonuses, but I would treat them as event-day activities rather than guarantees worth crossing Seoul for on their own.
4. Getting to Ttukseom Hangang Park
For this event, Seoul specifically recommends using Jayang Station on Line 7 and says Exit 1 is the preferred approach. Exits 2 and 3 may be restricted for safety when crowds build.
Public transport is the sensible choice. Seoul warns of heavy traffic and limited parking on show nights, and some vehicles in Ttukseom Hangang Park's car parks 3 and 4 may be unable to exit until around 21:30 after the event.
5. A few unusual event-day restrictions
The city plans to temporarily suspend public Wi-Fi in the park from 12:00 to 21:30 on show day to support safe event operations. If you rely on park Wi-Fi rather than mobile data, download your route and meeting details before arriving.
Seoul also recommends using the nearby Noyu and Jayang underpasses rather than the busier Ttukseom access route when pedestrian traffic is heavy.
6. Weather can still cancel or delay the show
Drone shows are highly weather-dependent. The official guidance says rain, strong wind or other poor conditions can delay or cancel a performance. Check the official Seoul Drone Show site or Seoul Metropolitan Government event notice on the afternoon of the show rather than assuming the programme will proceed exactly as planned.
That matters especially for travellers building the whole evening around one outdoor event. Keep the riverfront plan flexible enough that dinner or another nearby stop still works if the drones are grounded.
7. Best way to plan the evening
Arrive at Ttukseom Hangang Park by about 19:30, settle in before the peak crowd, watch the performances, keep 20:30–20:45 clear for the drone show, then leave some time after 21:15 for the station crowds to thin rather than sprinting straight into the first packed entrance.
If tonight does not fit your trip, do not force it. The next two confirmed dates are 9 October and 31 October, and the Halloween-night Marvel finale should be the biggest technical production of the autumn series.
